Difficulty: 4 (advanced intermediate)
Instrumentation: Trumpet 1 in Bb, Trumpet 2 in Bb, French Horn in F, Trombone, Tuba
About this piece:
This is a fun and impressive sounding arrangement of the Jewish folksong, "Tumbalalaika". A Jewish lullaby, "Raisins and Almonds" is heard in the middle of the piece, and the two tunes are woven together at the end, giving the impression of a baby who just wants to play instead of going to sleep. This is a huge trombone glissando feature!
This piece is a lot of fun to play, and audiences are thrilled by it.
